As the son of two wonderful, supportive parents who served 27 and 24 years in the United States Air Force, I had the benefit of growing up in diverse backgrounds. I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and moved to Japan shortly after where I spent my early elementary years. Our family moved to Goldsboro, North Carolina where I finished elementary and middle school. We then relocated to O’Fallon, Illinois where I completed high school. After graduating, I was blessed to arrive in Columbia, Missouri where I attended the University of Missouri as a George C Brooks Scholar and a member of the Track and Field Team. I achieved my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
Since graduating, the majority of my professional career has been with Shelter Insurance. In 2014, I explored a completely different career path as a Federal Law Enforcement Agent, and while that was a great experience, Shelter is where I belong. In my 13-year career with the company, I have lived in Topeka, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; and Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
